FOREST CITY -- Rutherford County Arts Council has announced that two Rutherford County artists, Susan Waters and John D. Fisher, are 2004-05 recipients of regional artists grants. Both artists work in glass.

The Regional Artist Project Grant Program provides individuals with project support for the enhancement of their artistic development, said Rutherford County Arts Council Executive Director Matthew McEnnerney.

Fisher's work can be seen at the Blue Moon Gallery in downtown Cliffside, NC. For the past two years he and his wife Beth have hosted a large art show and sale, reaching visitors throughout the area. Their former studio has been included in the 2003 Craft Heritage Trails of America book, published by HandMade in America. Their work is also available at the Painters Gap Art Gallery. 115 W.
